Sunday 10th May was the Charity Grants day at Redditch where a total of £19,000.00 was distributed to local charities. The theme for this year was primarily aimed at youth groups and charities supporting young people. In all 13 charities were recipients of grants including Fisher House and The Mary Stevens Hospice, the Provincial Grand Masters Chosen Charities for Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

February 4th saw a new Master being installed into the chair of St Augustine's Lodge. W Bro Mike Payne was last installed into the chair of this Lodge in 2008 but it soon became apparent that time had not dimmed his passion for Masonry. The Presiding Officer, W Bro David J Shakeshaft, DepPGM, complemented the Lodge on the standard of the ceremony and wished W Bro Mike a happy, healthy and busy year. The Lodge was blessed with over 20 visiting Brethren which produced a lively and vibrant atmosphere in the Lodge room which continued into the Festive Board where the charity collection and raffle raised a total of £475 for Fisher House, which will be increased to £500 from the Lodge Charity account.
